I recently contributed an article to PR News’ Digital PR Guidebook, Volume 4 on “Using Storytelling Skills to Transform Your Web Content”.

We have wonderful news from Tanis! As October 1st, we have moved into our new office at the Legacy Civic Towers in San Jose (see the picture above) just down the street from our old offices. We are very excited about our new location with its increased space and additional collaborative areas.

This month I had the chance to go to San Francisco for a long weekend for a little R&R. We took the opportunity to visit Alamo Square Park, which is the home of the “Seven Sisters” – also known as the “Painted Ladies”. The “Seven Sisters” was made famous in the opening credits of the 1980-90s TV show “Full House” and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in SF.

We are expanding our team and are looking to add a Vice President, Public Relations. This position is a key member of the agency’s executive team and will lead the PR programs for a select group of high technology clients.  If you are interested, please contact us here.

As I watch the jaw-dropping send-off of Oprah, I am struck by the outpouring of support and thanks this one celebrity has inspired after 25 years in business. How many people, celebrities included, can be credited with personally inspiring millions to be better people, to serve the underdog, and most importantly, to recognize that they are not alone?

There is an old saying that the cobbler’s children go barefoot. The cobbler is too busy making shoes for his/her customers to make shoes for the family. This has certainly been the situation at Tanis Communications. But no longer!
