We are starting the new quarter off with a bang. We are hiring for three new open positions at Tanis: Director of Editorial Services, Marketing Communications Manager andCommunications Specialist.
Director of Editorial Services (“Chief Storyteller”)
Our new Director of Editorial Services, otherwise known as “Chief Storyteller,” will be responsible for editorial and writing services across all of our clients as an individual contributor and also as a manager of internal and external professionals. This person should have a keen sense of story development, with a proven ability to create compelling narratives that are relevant to their intended audience, deliver strategic messages, and meet business objectives. In this role, you will help us develop and edit case studies, articles, blogs, press releases and background documents for both our PR and marketing projects.
In addition, you will be responsible for managing the editorial opportunities, speaking opportunities and awards submissions processes leveraging internal and external resources. We are looking for an energetic, motivated and results-oriented professional with a strong writing background developing both technical and non-technical marketing or journalistic content. A strong network and personal relationships with the IT and/or electronics trade media in North America would be ideal. Also preferred is a strong track record of tailoring technology stories for the mainstream and business media.
Marketing Communications Manager
The communications landscape is changing, and the lines have blurred between the traditional worlds of PR and Marcom. Owned media, earned media, content marketing, direct marketing, multimedia and employee communications all work together to support marketing objectives and brand and messaging priorities.
The communications manager position bridges strategic positioning and messaging with very detail-oriented execution. We’re looking for a marcom program manager with excellent command of the details, strong writing and editing skills, with proven success in owning projects from initiation to completion and effectively interacting with senior management. This individual will be a core part of our growing business in marketing communications and will report to a Senior Vice President.
Communications Specialist
The Communications Specialist will support our PR and marketing teams in delivering to our high technology client base a broad range of high impact internal and external communications services. This position is an excellent next step for you if you would like to learn a broad range of skills in communications and marketing. In this role you will learn and contribute to the fundamentals behind public relations; social media; marketing communications; employee communications; content creation and marketing programs.
